You can schedule devices to turn on or turn off with a direct voice command or by using routines. Routines are especially useful if you want to automatize your home as you can tweak actions. At least, when routines work as intended.
You should now see the lights available. Choose the lights you want to link with the app. Click on the add device icon, (+ icon) usually on the top left corner of the app. Remove the room name from the light name. For example, use "Desk Light" instead of "Bedroom Desk Light." If you still can't find your lights, set up your lights again in the Google Home app.
Or vice versa for outdoor lights, for example. You successfully automatized your smart lights by scheduling turn-on/turn-off sequences. If you want to disable it, just delete the routine. First, reducing your energy usage by turning off your lights is an excellent way to reduce your carbon footprint. Electricity generation is one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions that contribute to climate change. By turning off your lights when you aren't using them, you can do your part to reduce carbon emissions and therefore help the environment.
